Focusing on carbon emissions alone is a reductive way of looking at the ecological crisis, and it is missing all the systems involved in the destruction of the environment. I think the book The Solutions are Already Here is a great book that combines all the different systems that is involved in the ecological crisis. Here are some videos from the same author that I’ve mirrored:

Capitalism. Capitalism treats everything as a commodity, as an asset to make money off of. Food, land, animals, trees–everything including people are treated as things that can make businesses richer. This leads to the exploitation of the environment. Take a look at the damage of mining coal. Take a look at the destruction of forests. Take a look at the water consumed by the production of computer chips.

Police. When we try to oppose and hold companies and governments accountable, who do we run into? The police.
