Still using HyperCard

I didn’t grow up using HyperCard. I grew up using Windows, and Macintoshes were just too expensive for my family. I only discovered it a few years ago running (very slowly) inside an emulator in the browser, and it has been my go-to tool for presentations and posters.

Even though it was discontinued in 1998, I’m amazed at how useful it is even in 2026. Since it was made in the 80s, it uses very little resources by today’s standard. It uses around 15MB of memory in my computer and barely any CPU usage even though it’s emulating an entire computer.
